University of the Third Age Taunton, in Somerset, is a non-profit making Registered Charity (No. 1051405) that started in 1985 and is one of about 600 independent U3A’s in the UK which form The Third Age Trust. It
provides
members
with
an
opportunity to develop existing interests
or take up new ones. No qualifications are required, and none are given. Our
aim
is
for
members
to enjoy sharing their interests with others.
Groups organise their own activities and draw on each other's skills,
knowledge and experience. Each person can benefit and learn by sharing
interests or listening to others within a friendly sociable setting.
